Dr Simmons practiced in Dallas when started work on my wife Carol June Konovalski, 69 years of age, & advised he was moving to Jacksonville, TX while the work was in progress - cost over $15,000. Four mini-implants were installed to hold lower plate. When the first mini-implant came out he tried to replace but could not. All four implants later fell out. He advised us in writing in September of 2006 that he could no longer continue to treat my wife. He was already practicing in Jacksonville at that time. A hearing before Dental Board panel resulted in recommendation for a warning, 36 hours continuing education and $3,400 restitution. A $3,400 check was received from Dr. Simmons by my wife via U. S. mail dated 5-19-08 . We are unable to determine disposition of the remainder of discipline. We feel he is being protected by the Dental Board. My wife can not eat normally and is suffering a great deal of pain and frustration. We would not recommend this dentist to anyone. - Al Konovalski, 214-358-xxxx.
