Dr. Bertman renewed my faith in Dentist's. He is kind, compassionate and goes to great length's to make sure you understand and are comfortable with any procedure he performs. He has a great sense of humor, which will ease any fears you have of being in "the chair". I would recommend Dr. Bertman too anyone seeking a Dentist.

I had more pain after seeing this dentist than I did before I saw him. When I called his office to inform him about the pain, I was referred to another dentist in another office. I will never go back to Dr. Bertman

He is the best dentist I have ever been to. I can't stand dental work (but I seem to have so much of it). He's patient, explains what he's going to do and makes the whole experience as painless and comfortable as possible. Great bedside manners.
Also his skills seem top notch. I had a tooth with a crack in it that was filled two times unsucessfully by two different dentists. Dr. Bertman fixed it and I haven't had a problem with it since. His hygentist Susan is quite good as well.
I really like the whole office. I live in Alexandria and while there are hundreds of dentists closer to me, I'd rather drive to Burke to have him treat me.
About Hygienist: As stated above, Susan the hygentist is very good. She's thorough (takes about 45 minutes), ensures the experience is comfortable.

At the age of 58, I've had my share of dentists. David Bertman is absolutely "top drawer"! He works only one patient at a time, so when you are there, his total attention is on you. He cares how you feel while he's doing his magic. For instance, as an engineer, I like to know everything he's doing. He made a note in my file years ago to remind him that I want to know exactly what's going on while he's inside my mouth. Dr. Bertman has done several rebuilding and crowning procedures on me and I will keep going back as I need to have things repaired and check ups performed. My wife likes him, too. She doesn't have as much work to be done as I, but she's in his office every 6 months for her checkups.

Dr. Bertman and his staff are some of the best and most pleasant people in the area. He is a consumate professional and makes everyone in the office feel relaxed. Getting an appointment is easy and he is always there for emergencies. Truly a great place.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bertman's for approx. 8 yrs. I've had 2 crowns; 1 root canal; and a partial bridge made. He has always listened to me and explained his treatment process. He's the best.

One of the best, if not the best, dentists in Northern Virginia. Pleasant, concerned, extremely skilled. My wife and I and our two girls have been going to him for nearly 30 years. Once when I switched medical plans and had to use another dentist that other dentist asked me who my previous dentist was. When I asked why, she said of the work on my teeth "This is some of the best work I have ever seen!"
