After struggling to find an honest dentist in the DC area for quite some time, I finally found a great dentist in Dr. Tummarello. He did the entire cleaning and exam process himself, and was very friendly and careful. I left my old dentist after she tried selling me every service she could offer before I could lay down in the dentist chair, and she suspiciously found a cavity after I was given a clean bill of health from her assistant. I had the complete opposite experience with Dr. Tummarello. He didn't try to sell me anything - he just cleaned my teeth and gave me an honest evaluation (no cavities this time). I will be going to his office for a long time.

Great dentist, great guy. Moved from No. Va to Maryland years ago and use vacation to have my dental work done by Dr T.

Dr. Tummarello-
What can I say but a great dentist and a true gentlemen. I drive from DC and pass 100's of dentist's just to see him. Worth the drive or any plane ride to see the best. He doesn't kill you with a big bill either.

The staff at Dr. Tummarello's office go above and beyond the call of duty! My 3 year old daughter left her stuffed animal in the waiting area, and one of the ladies offered to drive it to my home that evening! Talk about caring for your patients! Dr. Tummarello only suggests treatments that are truly needed and is a great fit for grown-up and kids alike. Only positive things to say about this office and its staff!!!
About Hygienist: My older boys really like the hygienist, who is personable and patient with both the children, and my husband. She never acts rushed, puts the kids at ease, and is just very casual and comforting. ;-))

I've been seeing Dr. Tummarello for 14 years (since I moved here from FL). He is a great dentist and a wonderful man. He is professional and gentle with my dental care. He puts me at ease and explains whatever he is doing and answers all my questions. I never feel like he is rushed - he is all about patient care and customer service.
I have recommended him to friends with great success. Definitely go see him and his team for your dental needs.

Dr. Tummarello is very personable and explains procedures very well. His staff is wonderful, and his hygenist is great. I've always had a good experience. He was recommended by a friend, and I've since brought my husband to him as well. Our dental insurance doesn't pay for much, so the cost to us is probably higher than most, but I'm happy to pay for the excellent skills and service.

Dr. Tummarello has been my dentist since 1987, when I was just 10. My entire family continues to use him, and I refer everyone in search of a great dentist to him. When my husband and I have children, Dr. Tummarello will be their dentist as well of course! He makes what many people consider a tense appointment into something very non-stressful; he is always very concerned with patient comfort while working. Also, he never advocates dental work that is not truly needed. (I have heard this is a problem with some dentists.)
