I was very impressed with how modern and new the officeis. The staff is very friendly and made me feel welcome. Before starting the procedure Dr. Murphy explained what he was going to do and why. I didn't feel any pain during my crown procedure, I felt very comfortable and relaxed. I love my beautiful white crown. But there were few concerns. My new crowned tooth and the tooth next to it created a space, a food trap. My gums started to hurt and became sensitive. I had to floss that space after anything and everything that I ate. Sometimes food would get so far up my gum that my gums bleed while I did all I could to get the food out. I believe that what happened was that the crown too small. Dr. Murphy was glad to fix the problem by replacing the filling on the tooth next to the crown. He made the filling a bit larger to make the space smaller between the two teeth. I haven't had any problems after that. If I have questions or concerns with my bill, the office staff is quick to fix it without giving me hard time. I believe that they value their patience and they don't let small things to get in a way and lose their patients.

I had'nt been to a dentist in 6 years due to the inability of my doctor to fix anything that was wrong, so this made me avoid it until the pain was unbearable. After my first visit with Dr. Murphy, my whole view has changed and I now look forward to visits beacause of the super friendly atmosphere and the nearly complete lack of pain, even with ROOT CANALS! I now suggest to anyone in need of a dentist to call up Dr. Murphy's office because he is definately the best.

Dr. Murphy has been my husbands dentist his whole life and when we got married, he said I just had to try him. I am so glad he did! He has the best facilites and really takes care to remember his patience, even if he only sees us twice a year! We have since moved to the Central Valley and drive into the Bay Area because we know we wont find a better dentist anywhere!

I highly recommend Dr. Murphy, I have been going to him since I moved to the bay area in 1997 and I have had a great experience every time. He has a wonderful, friendly staff and a very nice office atmosphere.
Dr. Murphy is a very gentle dentist and I feel he keeps my best interest in mind. Dr. Murphy is not the most inexpensive dentist, but I don't mind paying a little extra for the quality of care and up-to-date dentistry that he provides. I drive from Martinez to Castro Valley to see him and have no plans on changing to a closer dentist.
