This Dentist SUCKS, He is a thief and his staff is incompetent, I had double coverage with an in network medicare plan through cigna AS WELL AS a high dollar, Federal Dental Plan which costs me over $1000 per year for some of the best dental coverage you can buy. First red flag Is: He is a roving oral surgeon and seems to work through local Dallas Texas area Monarch Dental offices. Second red flag is that the office staff knows little about dental insurance claims. Third red flag was that they suggested I get maximum benefit by using the cigna plan as primary and then they would give me all the support paperwork to file my Metlife directly. 4th red flag, I asked them to get a preauthorization of the charges. 5th red flag, they did not get the estimate from met life, and as it turn out they never submitted for it, which I found out later. They required a $200 deposit for the surgery day. They had me pay an additional $2918 the day of surgery 4/14/22 That totals $3,118 paid on my credit card. On surgery day I told them I wanted to get the 3 tooth bridge back after the surgery. They kept it, its was worth $200 or more in gold value. What was the SCAM? They had me pay the cigna, out of pocket amount up front and said that when

We were referred to Dr. Chilcoat by our dentist and he removed my daughter's wisdom teeth (all 4), March 12th 2013. The pre-op process was thorough and the surgery went quickly. The patient post-op was in pain the 1st 72 hrs. By the 5th day much better and she wasn't convinced the Dr. had remove all 4 teeth! The upper gum was not the angry red soreness she was experiencing on the bottom. I contacted Dr. Chilcoat and he scheduled a follow up appt. the next day. All four teeth were gone! My daughter was on the road to a quick recovery. Excellent surgeon! Efficient and courteous staff! Very positive experience for us!

We took our daughter here for a tooth extraction. We were told that she needed IV sedation in order for her to be brought in ASAP. If we went with local anestesia it would be a month before they could get her in. So basically, if you're willing to pay an extra 200 dollars, they'll bring you in right away. Our appt was at 12, she didn't even get to see the doctor until 3PM!!! She is under age, and they refused to allow her mom to be back there while she was "under". The dental assistant and the dentist were both very rude and disrespectful. If you have a choice, do not go here. I don't know how other Monarch dentals pan out, but do all you can to avoid this facility.

My son had an extraction of his 4 molars December 2009. Dr.Chilcoat was recommended by Monarch Carrollton. Never met the dentist the only confidence we have was his lenght of practice. He extracted our childs teeth with no complication but never seen his face.As a health care provider myself I expect to meet the doctor/dentist before inducting anesthesia and do a procedure to my child. But Dr.Chilcoat never came out to talk to us parents to ease our fear whose child put to sleep for the first time.Never came out neither after the procedure needless to say we don't know if he really existed or he did the actual procedure.Inspite of our request to see him as signed in one of the forms. I did not complain right away I want to make sure my son recovered well because I refuse to recieve any other services from him. I will never recommend him to anybody. JB

I had a great experience. He told me a funny story about a bird he once had. I went to sleep with a smile on my face. The cost was well worth it.

Dr. Chilcoat is A+. Great bedside manner. Great skill. I don't remember a thing between ``here's the IV'' and becoming aware I was in the car being driven home. AND when I told Dr. C I gag on pills and grind them up, he asked if I would prefer LIQUID meds. I said yes and he prescribed liquid antibiotics, liquid pain med and liquid anti-nausea med. Although I normally bruise easily, I had NO BRUISES after having my wisdom teeth out. He gave me a day-by-day, step-by-step written sheet of after-care (and his pager number) and I'm healing beautifully.
