Dr. Doriot seems to have great professional skills but he has sold this practice (NVC Fairfax) and seems he will be there for a very short period of time. After two calls and one letter I am still waiting for the form to release my records. After months I am still waiting for my refund. I have never had a medical professional exceed the pre treatment estimate by 21% and not talk to me about it. Why were these two extras done that were not covered by insurance.

About Front Desk: Person answering front desk phone pleasant...but you certainly can't get ANY help if it comes to insurance and money.

Had baby tooth removed/implant inserted. No mention of issues after surgery or at post op meeting.. Four months later I find huge charges on my bill indicating periodontal disease. Pre treatment estimate said panorex would be taken post op. Instead much more expensive, not covered by insurance code billed. Something called implant index. Surgical assistant didn't know what it was. If there was a variation of pre treatment estimate shouldn't I have been told. The actual care & treatment was very good, however I got the impression he sometimes did extra tests/x-rays in order to increase the bill, or else he was very unaware about how many charges he was racking up for patients for things not covered by insurance. I'm afraid to go back to finish and feel I have been "taken". Accounting manager said I should be glad I'm getting ANY of my deposit back.

Does not matter how good you are. If your staff is not billing people correctly your business will suffer. also Just cause you looked in my mouth for 15 seconds does not mean that I had a "comprehensive oral examination". I just had a comprehensive oral examination from my dentist and was sent to you (by my request not theirs) for a consultation to extract my wisdom teeth. I went back and explained my experience to my dentist and they basically told me, "i told you so". I should of listened to my dentist and went to the other 4 referrals they were trying get me to see.

About Front Desk: I was charged a Co pay of $25 that did not need to be charged. Under my insurance it was a free visit. My dentist did not refer me to Doriot but I asked for the referral anyway because Doriot's office was close to me. My dentist did so reluctantly. I brought my ex-ray with me but Doroit's office did not look at it and just took their own ex ray. Doriot's office did not call my dentist. instead of calling my dentist Doriot's office charged/coded me for a comprehensive oral examination not an evaluation. Now I cant get another cleaning from my dentist because Doriot looked in my mouth for 10 seconds I have researched online and discovered that the billing is shady, boarder line criminal. Needless to say I cancelled my surgery that was scheduled for later this month because I am scarred that I will not be billed properly in the future.

Worst experience ever. I needed two dental implants and was impressed with cleanliness of office and the staff was great so I decided to proceed. Developed a horrible infection and was on very strong antibiotics for 6 weeks to find out 4 months later while having my teeth cleaned by my regular dental office the dental hygienist saw I still had pus drainage coming from the sites. I called Dr. Doriots office which he promptly saw me and again placed me on antibiotics for several weeks. When I returned 2 months later for the uncovering of the post I saw why I may have developed infection. Firstly, he has a long beard that hung outside of his mask, which hair carries all kinds of germs. Thought he would have had it covered. Then after numbing me he grabbed a pair of gloves and placed them in his pocket stating, "I'll be back." When he returned he took the gloves out of his pocket and put them on and proceeded to work on me. If my implants were placed with the same carelessness that could have contributed to the infection. I know there is always a chance of infection with any surgery but after seeing this I felt it may have been prevented. He was more expensive then the other three estimates I obtained.

The actual care & treatment was very good, however I got the impression he sometimes did extra tests/x-rays in order to increase the bill, or else he was very unaware about how many charges he was racking up for patients for things not covered by insurance. Additionally the billing department was completely a mess, having no ability to sort out problems - of which there were many. My insurance company eventually stepped in on my behalf and basically told them to get their act together or risk not being a part of their plan anymore. (you know it has to be bad when it is the insurance company coming to the aid of the patient with regards to billing errors). I'm not sure of Dr Doriot is aware of the constant billing errors, but if not, than shame on him for not being in charge of his own office.

About Front Desk: Actual reception people seem nice enough and are able to book appaitments, but they are not able to do anything else but book appointments, so they are of no assistance in resolving problems.

Dr. McCormick did my extractions with zero pain and in short order. The ENTIRE experience was phenomenal and I felt like a welcomed customer and true friend. Their attention to detail and follow ups so far have been superb. I highly recommend this staff!

I received a dental implant a year ago. Dr. Doriot and his entire team was friendly, professional, organized and thorough. The office was very warm and welcoming. Dr. Doriot ensured that I fully understood the procedure during his consult. His administrative staff was efficient and quickly obtained insurance approvals and submitted required paperwork. I recommended Dr. Doriot to my husband, who just received a dental implant with the same success and positive experience. I highly recommend Dr. Doriot!

Dr Mccormick was a very nice guy, easy-going. He put me at ease right away. I had a tooth extracted along with a bone graft and both were done so well that by the next night I was eating back to normal. I didnt even take the stronger pain medication. They even worked with my insurance companies , they filed submitted re submitted as needed. I didnt have to do any of that or pay a huge amount upfront. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend Dr Mccormick!

I had my wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Doriot. His staff was very nice and efficient. The waiting area is very nice and relaxing, the actual operating room is just that, very big empty and a tad intimidating but looked clean. It was freezing though but they give you a blanket. The procedure only took 5-10mins and I was allowed to rest and then I was moved to the recovering lounge. Recovery was good, I felt no pain during the procedure except the needle with the anesthetics ( only had local pain relief and laughing gas). After the drugs wore off my pain was minimal and bearable. My overall experience was good, however I don't give them 4 stars because I am still waiting for a refund from them 4 months after the procedure. I find it odd that they made me pay such high costs up front and then come to find out my insurance covered more than what they expected so thus my refund.

Had my wisdom teeth extracted and had a great time there. His staff was really nice and made sure that I was comfortable and taken care of. Dr. Doriot was very thorough and very professional. My teeth were impacted and recovery was a breeze. The cherry on top was when he called me at night to check up on me! Highly recommended!
