This was my first trip to Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I was referred by my dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction. Prior to surgery, I went online to their site, which is loaded with useful and helpful videos concerning the overall process. I arrived about 15 minutes early and was greeted promptly and courteously, and just needed a few minutes to provide signatures to the online application I filled out. I didn't have to wait long at all to get my x-ray. I opted for local anesthesia only, which was fine given that this was a simple extraction. Dr. Zussman explained the whole procedure beforehand, and the whole procedure, including the local anesthesia, was painless. After the procedure, the pain was minimal (a couple Advil takes care of it) and there was also minimal swelling. The worst part of the procedure was the days of anticipation leading up to it. I would defnitely recommend this office for oral surgery.

I had a procedure done on my jaw and had four teeth removed by Dr Zussman about two years ago. It was the most comfortable I had ever felt with a doctor. He explained the procedures step by step and answered all my questions. His experience and knowledge made me feel right at home. I definitely trusted him 100% through every step. He alleviated my fears about surgery by telling me exactly what to do and everything went smoothly. He puts care into every patient. Treatment was a success and the staff was simply wonderful. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Zussman to any and everyone!

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Zussman several years ago. I don't remember the exact cost, but I know it was on the higher side. However, you definitely get what you pay for. I thought the customer service in the office was good, and Dr. Zussman was great. He was very patient, had a good sense of humor, and clearly explained everything to me as I was a little nervous at the time. I went under general anesthesia, and he put cloves in my mouth to help with post-extraction healing which I liked. He was very nice with my parents also, as they were more nervous than I was! I would recommend Dr. Zussman to others for oral surgery needs. He may be a little expensive for regular/routine dental work, but I think he is good for more involved oral surgery.

Dr. Z, is the best oral surgeon ever! Not only am a patient I worked for him for 5years. He is very competent and I have trusted him with my life...yes, my life he has put me to sleep 3x's for major work I had to have done. Every one of my procedures went extremely well. I assisted him in many surgeries and was very blessed to have him operate on me. He has surgeon hands, gentle, efficient, yet quick. Very polite and his bedside manor is out of this world. The only problem you may have is that if you bring up wine or food he is an expert so buckle your seat belt, you're in for a ride...lol! Both of my dental implants are successful and I had a pleasant experience each time! Thanks Dr. Z

I had several surgeries by Dr. Hank Zussman when I was in my twenties (i'm now 46) for TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint) disfunction and I am pleased to report that I am pain free, have full function and have been thankful for years now that I found him. He and my Orthodondist worked together to fix my painful issues with surgeries and braces. I have two metal plates and 14 screws in my face; my mandible (jaw bone) was cut into three pieces and the angles corrected so my bite would work properly and all scars are in my mouth save one right in front of the ear which no one ever notices, where he worked on the ligament and cartilage in the joint. He is the best at his specialty, and the most caring. He even supported my ankles with padding during my second and third surgeries because I complained that me heals ached after being on the table a while. He gives the personal care one hopes for! Thank you Dr. Z for making my TMJ go away!

Dr. Zussman is one of the finest physicians I have ever met or been treated by, bar none. His facilities are top rate and his demeanor is not only professional but also genuinely friendly and most welcoming. Dr. Zussman has extracted 4 of my teeth and done 3 dental implants. They have been without incident. He has also extracted my son's 4 wisdom teeth under general anesthesia and all went extremely well. I like that he talks to me and treats me kindly as well as lets me know what is going on. Dr. Hank even called me at home in the evening just to make sure all was going well. This is really above and beyond my expectations in this day of less than personal health care. He is truly the best and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

A++ WORK!! HAD ALL FOUR WISDOM TEETH REMOVED
EVERYONE WAS VERY FRIENDLY PAIN WAS MINIMAL AND COST WAS NOT TOO TOO BAD

Dr. Zussman is very good at what he does. I enjoyed visiting and my treatment that he did. His office staff are very professional, and kind and courteous also.

Dr. Zussman pulled one of my teeth and inserted an implant. He did an outstanding job. I was nervous, but Dr. Z exudes care and confidence, and I didn't experience any pain at all during the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Zussman to anyone.
