We suspended our kids' orthodontics completely after quite a bit of time, effort & $. From day 1 we felt the doctor's bedside manner left something to be desired but we were trapped by insurance. In the end, we found we would have saved money not using our insurance. His assistant, at the time, was much easier to take, better with children. We couldn't even find a way to have another Dr. take over treatment without starting over from scratch. It was a waste of everything, and the kids don't trust dentists.
