Pricing is deceptive over what my insurance allows them to charge me, even though they do have a contract with them. Ask up front what the cost is before discounts and you will get an answer like a car dealer. Do you plan to finance? Do you want this $500 discount or that discount? Turned out final cost before discounts was more than they were allowed to charge by my insurance company (with which they had a contract). I asked specifically what they were allowed to charge by insurance company and they told me "whatever they want". Dumb me went ahead and signed their contract with me thinking it would work itself out. Turns out the price after discounts was just under their max allowable charges -- without discounts, it was way over.
My insurance company faxed them a copy of their insurance agreement. Dr. Evans and his staff still refuse to discuss the matter any further and I am still paying too much.
I generally don't mind paying a little extra for better service, but I like to know up front, instead of feeling cheated.
