My daughter had a terrifying experience at another pediatric dentist, and I had to drag her kicking & screaming to see Dr. Nelson. Fortunately, she had a great experience there. Dr. Nelson's office staff is wonderful -- Linda had lots of suggestions for how to make my daughter more relaxed (she even sent us a video made to teach kids about the dentist for us to watch before the appointment). The hygenists are gentle and understanding and Dr. Nelson is very gentle & kind. Now my daughter and her sister absolutely love going to the dentist -- they consider it a treat. I like that Dr. Nelson discourages extraneous services (e.g. he doesn't take xrays until the kid's teeth are touching). Also, the practice has also been great in emergencies -- fit us in right away and stayed after hours. I recommend this practice highly.
