The Dentist was fine. Way too pricey but fine I received a rude phone call from Dr. Cirtaut’s office claiming that we had missed an apt which was never scheduled. The person calling refused to believe that we had not made the apt and was rather terse when I insisted we hadn’t. This staff member then asked what I was going to do about it and then proceeded to hang up the phone while I attempted to reply. It is evident from this interaction that Dr. Cirtaut’s office doesn’t need my business and I will certainly oblige them by taking it to any of the dozen other dental service providers within a 2 mile radius. Having worked in call centers and at reception desks for a number of years I can say from experience that the tone and actions of this employee do not meet even the most basic standards of customer service and would have never been tolerated in any place of business at which I was employed. I would highly recommend that the staff receive some additional training or be replaced. The appropriate way to handle that call would have been to apologize for any miscommunication and attempt to schedule an apt for another date and time convenient to the customer.
