I have been seeing this dentist faithfully for 11+ yrs now...I had an emergency root canal done several weeks ago. I asked the hygienist if I would be given a script for an antibiotic (Iam an RN and am very well aware of the possibility of infections). She said that the Dr would prescribe one if necessary. Long story short, I was not given an antibiotic. I develped a major infection. I contacted the Dentist office and they were anything but remorseful, needless to say. My whole face/jaw was swollen for 2+ weeks! My primary physician prescribed me the antibiotic that I should have gotten in the 1st place, after seeing that I had an infection, forming a rock hard ball where the root canal had taken place (which eventually spread, forming yet another rock hard ball!) No one from the office ever called to check on me-Not once! After seeing a few specialists and missing a few days of work, this ordeal cost me over $1,000 out of pocket!!! When I went back in for my check-up shortly after, the Dr and the hygienist never mentioned a word...not how are you? So sorry you had to go through this...nothing!!! I am extremely disappointed! So much for loyalty to a long time customer. Poor customer service...Wow!!!!!!!!!
About Hygienist: This could have been prevented with the prescription of an antibiotic. If a customer has a question/concern, the hygienist should consult the Dr before responding w/ an uneducated answer....
