Four years ago, i had a bridge installed that was unsuccesfull. the dentist returned the money to the insurance company so i could have it redone elsewhere, because it just wasn't comfortable. Last year, I saw one general dentist who said we could keep the anchor tooth and remove the pontics, which helped some but after trying to adjust the anchor it was determined a new bridge was needed, i then saw an oral surgeon who said the anchor should be extracted. I spent at least one hour on the phone with Dr. Brassington's office explaining this and was told he could tell me if the tooth could be saved. That was never discussed, most of the discussion was in getting a nightguard which would have to be thrown away after a new bridge in put in..The worse is they almost doubled the first quote with the insurance funds for this nightguard. Using other offices quotes to based the cost. I feel i was misled and never got the opinion i was requesting when i made the appt. He is nice but question how they design their fees. He certainly wasn't trying to adjust to what was practical for my situation, or make any suggestions except the most expensive. (and pad the insurance bill)
