The service I received at this dental office is the worst I have ever received at any healthcare facility. I was referred to him by an orthodontist for a free consultation about coronoplasty. Dr. Scavuzzo recommended a very expensive, contraversial procedure to sand down my teeth and build them up artificially to change my bite. I was pregnant and could not undergo the treatment, but I did have a broken retainer that needed replaced. Dr. Scavuzzo told me he would consult with my ortho and then call me back to schedule an appointment to make the retainer. No one ever called me back. I called his office 2 weeks later and they quoted me over $1,000 for a night guard. I asked if my insurance would cover any of that and his receptionist said she would check and call me back. No one ever called me. I went back to my ortho and reported how I had been blown off by Dr. Scavuzzo's office. She called him herself to express concerns, and then told me that he would call me and set up an appointment to make me a free "temporary" retainer to "make it right" for all of my inconvenience. His office never called me, but they did bill me for the "free" consult. When I called to dispute the bill, I was told by his receptionist that it was an error and she would take care of it. Instead someoned else from his office called me 2 days later to harass me about payment of the bill. It seems to me like Scavuzzo's office is very disorganized, unprofessional, and concerned more about making money than meeting patient's needs. I consulted with my long-time orthodontist from my previous home-state, who said that I by no means needed coronoplasty, and he advised me against it. I have since found a dentist who made impressions for a night guard the same day as my 1st appt., and charged me less than $500.

About Front Desk: Poor communication among all staff, do not follow-up with patients when they commit to do so. Billing is disorganized.
