I had become Dr. van Dyk's patient when my children needed a dentist. He was actually my father's dentist, so I felt comfortable bringing my children to him. I myself had no intention of becoming a patient because of my own past experience as a child. However, when I truly had no other choice but to visit a dentist for myself, I found Dr. van Dyk to be one of the most patient, caring, almost pain free dentist I could ask for. I found myself actually getting my teeth cleaned every six months, which amazed me. I no longer live in the Bay Area, and I find when people ask me if I know of a good dentist, I always say, "In San Pablo, I do". If you are afraid of dentistry for what ever reason, Dr. van Dyk will put you at ease. He and his staff are wonderful. I recommend Dr. van Dyk to anyone, the young and the not so young, Enjoy your beautiful new smile :)
