Dr William Van Dyk using my wife's dental records, he drilled down my molar until there was hardly any biting area left, never giving me the opportunity to speak or react during the procedure.
It was near closing time and I could tell he was rushed, but GIVE ME A BREAK! Even Using the wrong dental records (my wife and I even have different last names), couldn't this idiot see what he was doing??
When I complained to him, he got angry at me and complained right back, telling me someone gave him the wrong records and that he had no control over who handed him what.
I see from previous reviews that Dr William Van Dyk may once have been a competent dentist, but like most everything else in life, nothing ever stays the same.

I had become Dr. van Dyk's patient when my children needed a dentist. He was actually my father's dentist, so I felt comfortable bringing my children to him. I myself had no intention of becoming a patient because of my own past experience as a child. However, when I truly had no other choice but to visit a dentist for myself, I found Dr. van Dyk to be one of the most patient, caring, almost pain free dentist I could ask for. I found myself actually getting my teeth cleaned every six months, which amazed me. I no longer live in the Bay Area, and I find when people ask me if I know of a good dentist, I always say, "In San Pablo, I do". If you are afraid of dentistry for what ever reason, Dr. van Dyk will put you at ease. He and his staff are wonderful. I recommend Dr. van Dyk to anyone, the young and the not so young, Enjoy your beautiful new smile :)

William Van Dyk a dds in san pablo ca acts like a racism.
Yesterday during the treatment he kept bad mouth some countries ( Mexico Philippine China est..) economics or thier dentist, and kept said something like you are short ( cause you are an Asian)& . The lowest thing about him was he kept saying those negative things when my mouth was fill of the equipments and couldnt respond anything.

Dr Van Dyk has been my dentist ever since I can remember. Now, at 30, I have a baby on the way there is no doubt in my mind that he will he will be my kids' dentist. Everyone on his staff in pleasant, professional and efficient.
He takes time to answer all of our questions and always makes things right.

I have been one of Dr. vanDyk's patients for over 20 years. He was recommended by my husband who was one of Dr. vanDyk's first patients. Dr. vanDyk and his staff are friendly and competent. I feel that I am receiving excellent dental care from them. In addition to filling a few cavities, he has also installed a bridge and a few crowns, all of which are comfortable. Dr. vanDyk also keeps up with the latest techniques and procedures in dental medicine which helps guarantee me the best dental care. He and his staff do their utmost to keep the procedures pain-free by offering nitrous oxide, a new method of injecting novacaine, and ultrasound cleaning of my teeth. The hygienists also make sure that I know what I can do between visits to keep my teeth healthy. The office staff is very good at dealing with my insurance company, thus insuring that I know what I am paying upfront and eliminating any billing hassle for me. I have recommended Dr. vanDyk before and will continue to recommend him.
