I went to Dr. Hale over 5 years ago now. Her way of 'putting me at ease,' was to chat incessantly over my head, while drilling teeth, to her assistant--I recall something about soccer. I am a big dental 'chicken' which Dr. Hale knew. I felt terrified that she was chatting while drilling in my mouth. (mindfulness?) When I complained she offered me an ipod so music would tune out her conversation for me. She also drilled through 3 teeth when I was only there for one filling. She said the teeth were really bad (they were) and she would fit a bridge. A lot more money than I had. I wore the temporary for 5 years. It finally gave up and I have braved a new (much less expensive) dentist who told me bridges are bad. I don't know. But revisiting this mess in my mouth 5 years after the fact has reminded me of this sore experience. Dr. Hale is well-liked and office has air of professionalism. I hope my case is isolated. i have read a lot of dentist customer reviews, finding a new dentist. I now know it is essential to ask tough questions, not feel intimidated, trust gut, & get prices/treatment plan up front, before beginning treatment.
