There is a dichotomy between the high opinion his fellow dentists have of him based on dental technology (they can create the crown mold directly in the office) and the poor patient impression of him due to patient interaction.
I had a crown done. Here is a list of why you should not become a patient:
1) The paperwork you have to fill out is longer than other dentists (unlike other dental practices, there is no box to check if you are going to have the same address and phone for all sections).
2) On the patient confidentiality form, they say the office will charge you $25 for your records. The receptionist said that was only if the records were in archive, but if you are going to make me sign a semi-legal document, then it had better say what it means.
3) He didn't put safety glasses on me when drilling.
4) When they use the dental dam, they don't put the foam wedge piece on the other side of your mouth to hold it open. INSTEAD, he directly clamps something on your teeth.
5) The dental assistant did not use the air tube to suck the water out, causing the water to overflow out of my mouth twice.
6) The crown fell off. That the crown falling off wasn't even the worst thing says a lot about the experiece.
