There is a dichotomy between the high opinion his fellow dentists have of him based on dental technology (they can create the crown mold directly in the office) and the poor patient impression of him due to patient interaction.
I had a crown done. Here is a list of why you should not become a patient:
1) The paperwork you have to fill out is longer than other dentists (unlike other dental practices, there is no box to check if you are going to have the same address and phone for all sections).
2) On the patient confidentiality form, they say the office will charge you $25 for your records. The receptionist said that was only if the records were in archive, but if you are going to make me sign a semi-legal document, then it had better say what it means.
3) He didn't put safety glasses on me when drilling.
4) When they use the dental dam, they don't put the foam wedge piece on the other side of your mouth to hold it open. INSTEAD, he directly clamps something on your teeth.
5) The dental assistant did not use the air tube to suck the water out, causing the water to overflow out of my mouth twice.
6) The crown fell off. That the crown falling off wasn't even the worst thing says a lot about the experiece.

I think Dr. Mike is a fantastic doctor. He answers all my questions and takes as much time with me as I need. The office has all state of the art equipment. I get cancer screenings when my teeth are cleaned, and that gives me peace of mind. I feel very confident that Dr. Mike Errico will keep my mouth very healthy. I recently had a filling done on my front tooth and am very pleased with the results.

Dr.Mike did all my vaneers.I have more people tell me what a great smile I have!!! Many are now patients of Dr. Mike's and are as happy as I am. He and his staff are great!

Dr. Errico does not meet new patients unless they son't need him. I went in as a new patient and he refused to see me until teh hygenist had my teeth work all done. If a hygenist does all the work and analysis, why do we ned a dentist?
About Hygienist: She was average. Did not explain all charges or work being done.

I had an implant placed in 2006 in Dr Errico's office by Dr Amagoni. Dr Errico made the crown.(Front top tooth) The crown soon after started to appear to have a grey hue to it, but all else seemed fine. In 2010, I decided to obtain my records from the office to have a new crown placed by another dentist. I was told after numerous attempts at leaving messages and not getting a return call that my records had been lost. Just this week, I started to have pain in the jawbone area of the implant, I was placed on antibiotics and an xray was taken, then a CT scan. The results of the CT show that the implant post was placed into the bone and right out through the other side, the only thing covering the implant post is my gum tissue. To fix this, i am now looking at: removal of existing crown and implant, two bone grafts, wearing a temporary tooth for about a year as I heal, another implant placed and then another crown made and placed. An implant is supposed to last a lifetime, I paid $4000 for one that lasted 6 years at best, now I have an infection and am looking at a few thousand dollars out of pocket to fix this problem.

Dr. Mike is extremely patient-oriented. He seems very committed to making sure that his patients are comfortable and well treated. He is exactling in his application of his practice and very good at explaining options and implications. His office has very up-to-date equipment and kept well. The staff are extremely accomodating and friendly. Visiting the office is much like going to a favorite aunt/uncle's house.
