In 2008 I received a root canal and porcelain crown. A good amount of my crown fitting was done by a girl who had not attended school and was receiving on the job training.However, he left her alone and them came in to check on her periodically. I trusted that he left her alone because he had faith she knew what she was doing. About a month after my treatment the crown didn't feel right, it felt like it was too high and my upper teeth always hit the lower when I would eat or talk. I called and was told that it would settle in. So I waited a few more months and nothing had changed. Then after calling to get a resolve, I was told that too much time had passed to fix anything. While out of the state in 2011 after dealing with this for 3 years, the pain in the gum area down to my jaw was tremendous. I went to an emergency dentist to see what they could do, the Doctor shaved my crown down so that I wouldn't continuously bite down on it causing constant impact to the area.Since that procedure it has been more tolerable.The issue that still remains today as was from the beginning is the crown does not sit all of the way down to the gums. There is a large gap. I can stick my finger nail in between and still have wiggle room.6 yrs of this!
