On 6-18-12 Dr. Tate extracted a tooth from my 13 year old. He never greeted us with an introduction ("Hi, I'm Dr. Tate") or made us feel welcome. We waited over 50 mintues before we were seen or even addressed by the office staff (after the initial paperwork)....a simple "he's running late" would have been nice. A very long time to wait considering two younger children were also with me. The waiting room was not family-friendly...no activity center for little ones and I had to request a soap-opera on tv to be changed. 60 min after appt time we saw Dr. Tate. He began explaining the procedure, talking down to us as if we didn't know why we were there or that we didn't know what decision we made (only wanted local anesthetics). I was then asked to leave the room. I insisted I stay with my son. Three different staff came to argue with me and tell me that Dr. Tate does not want family members in during procedures. Again, I insisted I stay with my son, who also requested my presence. Again, I was given every explanation of why I was not allowed to be with my son. I furiously left the office. I never signed over my right to leave my son and it is wrong for a doctor to request that. I will never return.

About Hygienist: Staff did not honor my request to stay with my son during the procedure and refused to consider our judgement and evaluation of the siuation. Office staff did not give any explanation of why the doctor was running 60 minutes behind schedule or acknowledge our wait time.

I know this doctor: 2 yrs
