I did not have a good experience at this dental practice.
First, I felt that Dr. Allen had poor communication. The treatment plan was not well explained at the first appointment. She also did not sufficiently answer direct questions about post-treatment.
On several occasions, I waited an hour or more for my appointment. During a filling replacement procedure, Dr. Allen pressured me into forgoing anesthetic for no apparent reason other than that the office was running extremely behind schedule. During the procedure, I was in quite a bit of pain, but Dr. Allen ignored my repeated stop signals and kept working for several minutes.
Following the filling replacements, I had bite sensitivity in several teeth and was unable to chew solid food. This eventually lead to having three root canals and a fourth tooth replaced with another filling (these were done by a different dentist, I left Dr. Allen's practice as soon as it became apparent that I would need significant work done).
Even had I not had these problems with the replacement fillings, I would not have stayed with this dental practice because of the long wait times, poor communication, and painful procedure experience.
About Hygienist: The hygenist, Alice, was very pleasant. Her cleaning was painless and she was quite kind.
