Went to Malen for routine checkup. Several people were scheduled simultaneously, so we waited well over an hour. The staff had no idea how to transfer records from a prior dentist and was rude to the staff of our old dentist. The hygenist polished our teeth -- but didn't clean them -- no ultrasonic machine, no floss, no picks! However, she did insist that Xrays have to be taken every 6 months even for patients who haven't had cavities in decades, and then took more xrays than any dentist has every taken -- 8 different views. The dentist picked a little bit, but didn't use the ultrasonic machine. He then wanted to do a filling -- even though he couldn't find any indication of a cavity on the xrays.
An unnecessary xray. The most inadequate cleaning I've ever had. And a filling I'm not convinced was even called for.
