I had a crown come off 3 times. The third time another dentist took a look and said their was significant tooth decay and i'd probably need a root canal. this was only 3 or 6 months after the crown came off previously. The tooth had always been sensitive and painful whenver the crown was replaced. Can significant decay occur in 3 to 6 months.
I had a huge cavity, almost down the nerve. My last cleanign was around July or june. Nothing was said about it. My new dentist showed me the xray, and said he's going to attempt to save it.
He's done several crowns and half the time I need to come back for some minor adjustment. He's always managed to get the fit right. I've been going here so long, I took this as normal perhaps. WIth the new dentist, the difference is between night and day. The temporary fit fantasticallly, the permanent fantastic.
