I discovered this dentist in the "Best Dentists" issue of the Washingtonian Magazine. Dr. Dryden's office is pleasant and friendly, but his demeanor is professional and business-like. He's been practicing in Falls Church for almost 30 years.
For a basic cleaning and bite-wing X-ray, they charged me $297 which seems expensive relative to Wilmington, DE where I would pay ($120-200) depending on services rendered. But I don't know if this is considered expensive for the Washington DC area.
Although I really liked the other staff, especially the dental hygienist, I was concerned that Dr. Dryden was "pushing" new technology and trying to steer me towards worrying about my teeth. Since I don't have dental insurance, this leads me to pause before taking any unnecessary interventions. Has anyone else had experiences with Dr. Dryden? Is $297 too expensive for a basic checkup with bite-wing X-rays?
