Dr. Rolf was recommended to me by a colleague (professor/staff Oral Medicine Department) who worked with him at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Dr. Rolf was head of the General Practice Residency Training program. I had broken a tooth and did not tend to it for months which resulted in decay (close to the bone) and a great deal of pain. He immediately prescribed a pain killer and recommended an emergency root canal. I never had major dental work and I was very anxious, not to mention that I was in between jobs and without dental insurance. Dr. Rolf referred me to an endodontist (also a former Naval colleague) for the root canal which was well done and pain free. Dr. Rolf inserted a temporary crown until such time that my insurance would cover the permanent crown. He has a wonderful chair-side manner, is friendly, and calming. He was quite amenable to answering all my questions and it was an educational experience. His dental hygenist was patient, careful, and understanding. The office is clean, attractive, and office staff professional and polite. I highly recommend Dr. Rolf, especially if you avoid dentists. He is thorough, gentle, and puts one at ease. K.Murray
