I became friends with a man who had microsurgery done by Dr. Aragon by referral from Dr. Randall James after a wisdom tooth extraction caused a nerve injury to the IAN nerve. Dr. Aragon promised up to 85 to 90 percent success rate for restoring this nerve. Instead, my friend woke up with injury to the LIngual nerve and no improvement on the IAN nerve. Two weeks later, he performed an exploratory surgery which lasted seven hours, which resulted in a Saggital Split Osteotomy. Nothing was gained from either surgeries only made the conditions worse and now my friend is on disability and has metal plates in his jaw. Not only did this ruin his mouth, he was given astronomical amounts of narcotics that have taken years from his life and seeking help through legal channels was to no avail due to the "don't talk, don't tell rule"" in teaching Institution and their faculty members who make mistakes. A Ten thousand dollar surgery to repair his IAN nerve turned into IAN and Lingual Nerve injuries and a Saggital Split Osteotomy.
