This is to express my deep appreciation for your superb prosthodontic work during the past year in restoring all of my teeth and rebuilding my bite. In addition to your stellar workmanship, during each visit to your office you and your entire staff made me feel that I was not just another appointment in your book, but always your most important patient. In all my 60 years of extensive dental work, I never experienced a more pleasant and efficient dental office. I would like to stress two issues in particular involving my case. First, your skill in administering local anesthetics is unbelievably painless. I had always dreaded the gum injections as the very worst part of any dental work. Your injection technique is a most welcomed relief! Secondly, during our first consultation I questioned whether the extensive time, work and expense involved was practical at my advanced age of 70. With your guidance and encouragement I overcame my hesitation, and I couldn't be happier with the results. It has been worth every bit of the work and expense and more. My dental comfort has been restored and my self-esteem boosted because of my new brilliant smile. Sincerely, Virginia Malon

I've been a patient of Dr. McLachlan for over 2 years. I've had extensive dental work done in that time. Everything from fillings and extrusions, through posts, crowns, bridges, and implants. I needed all this work because I was truely terrified of the dentist. Bad experiences in the past had kept me from going. I would have nightmares and be physically sick at the very thought of having to go. A dental emergency brought me to Dr. McLachlan. He has been a kind, caring, gental, and patient man. I no longer fear the dentist at all. He eased my fears by explaining everything in ways I could understand. He explained exactly what work I needed and why I needed it. He talks to me in the chair. Telling me what's going to happen so there's no suprises. He's never hurt me and gives the best shots. I am very grateful to him for saving my teeth ad restoring my smile. I get compliments all the time. People who know me are amazed at he transformation. Others have said, they thought I just had perfect teeth. His attention to detail and patient comfort is exceptional. I highly recommend Dr. McLachlan and his staff of professionals. Sincerely, Janet Waters P.S. If you are thinking of getting implants just take the plunge. They're the best.

I wouldn't do any more general dentistry with Dr. McLachlin. He may be a fine prosth., but I would, and have, found a dentist with more up-to-date methods, equipment, etc. I'm not a dental expert, but think that some of the results I had with him were less than should be expected. Plus, his numbing of my lower jaw resulted is the one instance (out of 20 or so) in which I felt that a nerve had been damaged, both by the pain of injection and lasting numbness/tingling in my tongue, which went away after a couple of weeks, thank goodness. On confronting him with my concerns, I found him to be unnecessarily defensive and unwilling to take responsibility for a mistake. We parted on very bad terms. Just a note that one should be careful about angering dentists. They have a tight clique and you may have difficulty getting further treatment from other dentists who are competent and well-established. All that matters, I suspect, is that you had a complaint.
