Excellent care and final result. The treatment was fast and painless. He even called me after the procedure to check on me that evening. I highly recommend this Dr.

Cleaning, X-Rays, Implant, Crowns - All procedures were successful with no pain! Dr Bell's chair-side manner was very warm, caring and understood my fear of dental work. Extremely professional dentist. I liked that he discussed procedures beforehand, gave me options and told me each step of the process what he was doing. Office staff was great. Clean facilities. No insurance problems and costs are standard downtown Chicago rates. I would highly recommend this dentist to others!

About Front Desk: "Adel" assisted with my scheduling of the appointment and welcomed me when I arrived. Very personable. I believe she takes care of all the insurance paperwork which I have not had any problems.

About Hygienist: Dr Bell did this work. The cleaning was well done. Gentle and thorough. My teeth feel and look great. I will continue to visit Dr Bell every 6 months for the best dental treatments.

Hygiene time: 20

I went last summer for a basic cleaning in an effort to find a new dentist in Chicago and let's just say my whole experience was subpar. The office wasn't even open when I got there in the morning, the cleaning (by Dr. Bell) was average and there was no hygienist in sight. Long story short, it was not a hard decision to take my pearly whites elsewhere. The experience of trying to get my records transferred has been nothing of a disaster. Not only did they charge me $20 and a $.25/page fee (which is fine), every time I tried to pick them up the office was closed. How is an office closed at 2:00pm in the afternoon on a Tues/Wed/Thurs? After 3 failed attempts to retrieve my records, I made plans with the receptionist to leave my records outside the office door (because they were closing early that day). I get there...no records. The receptionist 'forgot' to leave them. I called the next day and asked that she handle having them delivered ASAP to the new doctor's office (which is in the building next door, btw). After learning they were still not received, I called AGAIN only to find out that she MAILED them...not even priority mail. I was speechless and hung up the phone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

About Hygienist: There is no hygienist, or at least not to my knowledge.

I know this doctor: 10 mo.

I had Gingivectomy and Gingivoplasty on nearly all my teeth. He charged over $7,300. This is about 5 times what the procedure should have cost. He used a laser and was done in 2 hours. Teeth and gum line good wallet very broke! I felt taken!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Bell's for many, many years and my experience has been wonderful. I was very scared of Dentist when I first started and Dr. Bell put my mind and nerves at rest. His chairside manner is very pleasant and he will do whatever the patient wants. He will tell you want is going on and then it is definitely your decision. He is very caring and gently dentist. His staff is wonderful, being they will help you with anything they can. All the work I have had completed was excellent. I can't say enough about Dr. Bell.

I had a mixed experience with Dr. Bell. I was a patient of his for a little over two years. His facilities are fine, his chair-side manner is pleasant, and his treatment is gentle. His services are expensive (hint: if you are paying out-of-pocket, you might want to opt-out of the $65 flouride rinse at the end of the cleaning), but he does his own cleanings, so the additional cost is not unreasonable. The only poor service I received was when I relocated out-of-state and requested copies of my x-rays be forwarded to my new dentist. His office charges $75 to forward records, which is legally permissable but doesn't make for excellent customer service. In accordance with the ADA code of ethical conduct, most dentists forward records for little or no cost. Dr. Bell's assistant told me it was a standard fee for the Chicago area, but my new dentist said he's never seen a fee that high, from Chicago or anywhere else. One last thought: my new dentist found three new cavities in my first visit, which is more in one visit than I've had diagnosed in the last decade. It makes me wonder what Dr. Bell might have missed during my routine exams.
