Beware of this endodontist. What I experienced, I believe, was totally avoidable. Dr. Bisquerra was insensitive to my pain level and caused tremendous discomfort during the procedure, which continued throughout the weekend (my root canal was on Friday), and my pain level my Saturday after the procedure was 10 out of 10. After the initial exam I was informed that I have infection in the bone. At that point I think that I should have been given a stronger antibiotic (I was on clendamycin from my regular dentist) and sent home until the infection had subsided before he proceeded. During and after the procedure Dr. Bisquerra never inquired as to how I was doing. I began to experience increasing discomfort. I believe that I was not anesthitized enough for the procedure. The worst part came when he stuck hypo of anesthesis directly into my opened tooth, probably hitting a nerve. After the procedure he left and the room and never returned to see how I was doing. On Monday I called the office and was given a prescription for Augmentin, which quickly settled my mouth down. I requested a different doctor to finish the procedure and was given Dr. Curz. He was outstanding. I hardly felt even a pinch.
