Doctor Martinez Vargas was easily the best dentist I ever knew--and I have been to many dentists because I have soft teeth and I wish to save them. He was a tough-love dentist (which is a GOOD thing, all you pansies who think a dentist office like a spa and muzac is good) the long-term result is what matters and the bridge he made and also the prosthetic tooth for a missing molar have LASTED over 15 years with NO issue. He would NOT take a smoker as a patient! GOOD thing--smoking is very bad for dental and overall health. He retired and I MISS him. God bless Dr. Armando

This dentist office consists of one dentist, plus 1 staff member. I am terrified of dentists and let him know that, but got abosolutely no compassion. The dentist is cold and alarmist and maintains that he is different than most "american" dentists. He filled one tooth and was annoyed when I expressed that the drilling was seeming to go too deep and hitting a nerve. My tooth is sensitive to cold and hot now after this procedure.

Dr. Martinez-Vargas is very friendly, and his prices are decent, but my recommendation ends there. He does almost nothing in-house, so if you need a root canal or something you have to go see a specialist... and that costs. And when I took my son to him, he gave me wrong information. He actually said that there is no sugar in breast milk--which didn't make much of a difference in our care--but shows a definite lack of knowledge on his part. That scared me, and I now see someone else.

Excellent care. Very friendly staff. Reasonable cost.
Dr. Vargas was very thorough, and made sure that I was comfortable with everything that he was doing.

Dr. M-V knows what he is doing, but his chair-side manner is not the best. Although he is a really interesting person (you can see by his pictures he has travelled the world), you get the sense that he's not exactly happy doing dentistry. He is more likely to scold you than encourage you to maintain good dental health -- this may work for some patients but is not my cup of tea.
All in all, he is good to get the job done, but not as communicative about procedures before or during, which caused me stress in that I didn't know what to expect.

I went here because I don't have health insurance - costs are reasonable, staff is friendly. They filled a cavity for me, but I'm not convinced it's holding up... time will tell, I guess.

Wasn't very clear about what my next step was for my treatment. Personality is kind of short. He was okay. I've had better dentist.
