Had a root canal this week. Dr. Roach sent me home with a prescription for Advil only. Once I arrived home, the pain really set in and was so severe, I was driven back to the dentist for effective pain management. I arrived, explained my level of pain and waited for Dr. Roach to see me in a room for about one hour. While waiting, I overhear Dr. Roach say," This is why I hate to work with Reprobate". I was shocked! I am an a retired professional from the Air Force and I have been seeing this doctor for over 15 years so I was deeply hurt. I did talk with Dr. Roach about his comments and he denied it. He then wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and pain killers. I have lost all trust and faith in this dentist and I have to find a new one after 15 years. Be warned.

Dr. Roach attempted to sell me unnecessary dental work. He wanted to replace ALL my fillings "because they're old". (I'm only 36.) I settled for a cleaning at which point his hygenist broke off a piece of my dental work which they charged me full price to repair. AVOID!

After my child was born I didn't go to the dentist for a few years. While I tried my best to keep my teeth clean they did need some work. I had a few cavities and needed a root canal due to a back tooth had cracked. Dr Roach was very gentle and the root canal didn't hurt at all.

About Hygienist: I loved the old hygienist, now there is a new lady and she was not as gentle.

Dr. Roach and his entire staff at Jollyville Dental perform high-quality work and are both professional and friendly. All services (Xrays, cleanings, fillings) have been pain-free and performed skillfully. The only negative we have encountered is the fact that his office is not an "in-network" participant in our insurance plan -- thus increasing the cost of service.

Dr. Roach is a wonderful dentist. I have had a lot of work done and I have never walked away after a treatment in pain. I never even have to take pain meds after a cavity or a root canal. He is fantastic!
