This office is great! The doctors are very caring and give you as much time as you want, which is very unusual nowadays! They always explain what I need, check my insurance benefits, and set up appointments right away! Even when I moved away for awhile, I still scheduled my appointments on return trips. I highly recommend this office!

HORRIBLE DENTIST!! They charge you for work they don't do, refuse to give you a receipt, only take cash or check, only accept insurance where the patient pays the charges and they don't have to file claim with insurance company. Charged me for over $1000 worth of work they never did and would not give me receipts for the work they had done. I had to take them to court to get the receipts and my money back. Also, they forged my initials and changed my medical records. DO NOT - I REPEAT- DO NOT go to this dentist. You can look up this dentist and see the same kind of reviews from other patients. These people need to be put out of business because they are ripping patients off and getting away with it!! Make sure you get an itemized receipt AS SOON AS YOU PAY and that they complete the services you paid for in that appointment because they will make you come back for more appointments and charge you more office visits. I hope this helps anyone that is considering going to this dentist - DON'T DO IT!!!

About Hygienist: NO hygienist - just a crabby, cranky, abrasive, and unprofessional receptionist that is unethical and refuses to give you a receipt for services rendered. If she won't give you a receipt make her let you speak to Dr. Magzen so you can make him give you one because Sue will make excuse after excuse to not give one. Something fishy going on in this office and I'm glad I changed dentists and don't deal with these people anymore.

One of the most unpleasant dealings I've had with a dental practice. The office is straight out of the 1980's. My experience began badly when dealing with the horrible receptionist Sue (who I believe is Magzen's wife). This woman is incredibly rude and unreasonable. She claims you can make appointments 3-4 weeks in advance, but if you call 5 weeks ahead of time she'll give you a hard time about being able to "fit you in." She also makes dealing with insurance companies a nightmare. They have a great scam going where they make you split your "first appointment" into three separate visits in order to be able to bill the insurance for the maximum possible rates, plus taking a co-pay each time. And don't expect to be able to pay with a debit or credit card, she only takes cash or check. As I previously mentioned, being unable to schedule these three appointments at one time meant it took over 2 months to get my teeth cleaned. Finally, despite making my checks out to "Dr. Thomas Magzen," I've never even met him. All of my work was done by Dr. Jeff (who is actually a pretty nice guy). I found the whole situation suspicious though. I would look elsewhere for your dental care.

Numerous complaints: 1) ONLY ACCEPTS CASH OR PERSONAL CHECK AND DOES NOT GIVE ITEMIZED RECEIPTS. THE OFFICE IS NOT COMPUTERIZED. 2) IT WAS GOING TO TAKE 4 APPOINTMENTS OVER 5 MONTHS JUST TO DO BASIC CLEANING AND FIX A CAVITY. 3) SAID MY DENTAL INSURANCE COVERED NOTHING, THAT I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENTIRE THE AMOUNT OF $1300 TO CLEAN MY TEETH AND TEND TO ONE CAVITY. I PROMPTLY SWITCHED DENTISTS, GOT EVERYTHING DONE, AND PAID WHAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY ITSELF SAID I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR: $230. ON TOP OF THAT, THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY MY INSURANCE AND ME WAS $400 LESS AT MY NEW DENTIST THAN WHAT DR MAGZEN'S OFFICE QUOTED ME. 4) WHEN I CAME IN FOR MY 2ND APPOINTMENT, THE RECEPTIONIST CLAIMED I HAD NO APPOINTMENT. VERY ANGRY, I RESCHEDULED, BUT UPON ARRIVING FOR THAT RESCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, THE RECEPTIONIST SIMPLY STATED, "WE DOUBLE BOOKED THIS TIME SLOT, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT." I WAITED FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE THEY CALLED ME TO THE CHAIR, AND 20 MINUTES MORE SITTING IN THAT CHAIR. THAT IS JUST ABOUT A 2 HOUR WAIT!

About Hygienist: They do not have a hygienist that I saw. Ever. Maybe their sole receptionist, SUE, who is inefficient, incompetent and very pleased with herself, serves as their hygienist. After two appointments, I still had not got as far as actually having work done, so I can't say. But I can say that cancelling my next two appointments and finding a real dentist was the best thing I ever did.

Dr. Magzen is very gentle and entertaining... As someone who has somewhat of an anxiety before going to the dentist, he has one of the best bedside manners I have ever experienced. I recommended a coworker to him and she absolutely loved him, also citing that he prevented her from spending lots of money on unnecessary costs that her previous doctor overestimated. He is adamant also about teaching and educating his patients because he wants all of his clients to take ownership of their dental health. I'd recommend Dr. Magzen to anyone...

This office is great! It is small and VERY caring. The dentist spends a lot of time explaining everything in great detail. The front desk has a deep knowledge about my insurance and explains it to me. Very rare these days! The dental work is beautiful and has lasted many years. I would strongly recommend this office to anyone looking for a truly caring facility!
