Dr. Cuevas did an initial exam. Her staff were professional, and she was professional & seemed thorough, but her manner was brusque. She disagreed with the orthodontic treatment I'd been receiving for 2 years, even though she's not an orthodontist & I hadn't asked for orthodontic advice. She decided she couldn't provide my general dental care & rejected me and my family of 4 as patients at my first visit. However, she refused to give me a copy of my exam. She even had the audacity to bill me, even though I got nothing from her.

Dr. Cuevas is very thorough and knowledgeable, and after a detailed exam (not rushed like most other dentists), we decided TOGETHER on my treatment plan. She also recommended a mouthguard. I've had other mouthguards in the past, but this one is a game-changer: I am now finally able to get good night's rest with no aches and pains in the morning. The staff was also very knowledgeable and assisted me in filing not only my dental insurance, but also my medical insurance, to minimize my out-of-pocket! I'm glad I found Dr. Cuevas.

What a awesome dentist!! I had not been to the dentist in years because I was so afraid of needles...I have NEVER felt any pain from any of the injections Dr. Cuevas has done! She is professional and a lot of fun!! She isn't cheaper but her work speaks for it's self! I recommend her all the time to people that have a fear of needles! What a pleasant woman and her office staff is excellent and I always walk out enjoying the visit. Give her a shot..I guarantee you will love her.

About Hygienist: Amanda - excellent, gentle, explains a lot and very helpful.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, very informative. Dr. cuevas was good as well. I felt that she moved a little fast but extremely professional. Overall treatment was pretty good. Just wished they took more time to let me know what the game plan was as well as the cost that I should anticipate.

She may be a very talented dentist in the area of cosmetic dentistry, but after repeated visits for myself and my 2 kids (13 & 14), we'd spent literally a small fortune just getting our teeth cleaned ('special' cleaning). Payment is absolutely UPFRONT, and the office folks started becoming somewhat irritated when I asked for copies of all our 'bills'. I work in the medical billing field, and when I started looking at them, I realized she was billing US for drugs that should be packaged into the procedure. I contacted our dental insurance company, sent them a packet of all our bills, and what we'd paid, and they ended up refunding us over $400 that she FRAUDULENTLY billed us. I wonder how many other people that aren't aware of what is separately billable, are getting nailed for these expenses?? Feeling I got from our insur was that this type of problem has occured before. Almost forgot - she had to call 911 during one of my visits when I became toxic from the multiple epinephrine she kept giving me so she could hurry to do my fillings. I was transported to the ED and held until I was stablized, nearly 4 hours.

Overcharged! I later found that this dentist has had a warning from the texas staate board of dental examiners. She tried to charge $800 for a crown after insurance and around $3000 before. She quoted my husband $175 for a filling claiming that our insurance only covered silver not porcelain and she doesn't do silver fillings. I later found out from the insurance company that she is required to give us the price for the silver filling if she doesn't offer them. Also she charged $165 on my first visit for a special cleaning. It took her no more than 10 minutes and was no different from other regular cleanings I've had.

She "guaranteed" the work and I have had to come back twice for her to fix the problem.. very time consuming. She seems overly confident in her work, having trouble accepting that perhaps she did not do 'perfect' work.

Dr. Cuevas is very personable, even though her receptionist is not. Dr. Cuevas has a way of making you relax which is why I continue to see her. The thing I do not like is that if they do not know what your insurance will pay, they will make you pay up front and then file a claim for reimbursement through your insurance. If it wasn't for that fact, I would recommend her to more people.
