I saw Dr Holcomb in April 2012 for a first time consulation to remove all four wisdom teeth. He was very nice, as well as his staff. Well, I put off the procedure until August and when I called to set up the appointment, I was informed that Dr Holcomb had passed away in June 2012. Such tragic news for such a wonderful doctor. I was informed that Dr Reza Zakhireh, who is also a very experienced doctor, has bought the practice. I scheduled the appointment for today, August 31, 2012 at 8:30 AM. Dr Zakhireh introduced himself and showed me a picture of my dental records and explained what he was going to do and why. One of his assistant put vasoline on my lips to prevent them from cracking. Another assistant adjusted my chair and asked if I was cold and if I needed a blanket. They were very attentive!! The doctor inserted the IV and when I woke up an hour later, everything was done!! Didn't feel a thing, they had me stay there for maybe 15-20 minutes until they knew I was okay to go. In the meantime, the doctor informed me they were going to refund my credit card for something that I didn't need done after all !! Awesome!! Then they took me outside in a wheelchair and waited for my sister to bring the truck around and made sure I made it safely inside the vehicle. Despite it being a different doctor, I was very, very pleased with their service and highly recommend them!! Also, Dr Zakhireh personally called me himself around 4:30 PM to see how I was doing. Talk about customer service!! Thank you Dr. Zakhireh and also thank you to your wonderful staff!!

I had my wisdoms teeth out 2 months ago, I was very scared because i do no like needles. I expressed this to him, and he told me he could not do the surgery without the needle because the Iv was what was going to make me comfortable for the surgery. The day of the surgery, I went in and was very scared, but the nurses calmed me down, and once the dr put the needle in my arm i realized it was not that painful. I fell right asleep! Dr. Holcomb was very professional, if your looking for a talkative, joking making dr, don't go to him, but if your looking for a professional "to the point" dr I would say go to Dr. H. My surgery went very well, and he gave me the meds. to keep me comfortable.

Dr Mark Holcomb was rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and arrogant to me and my children. He argued with my son, who has a phobia of needles, and basically told us that he just won't tolerate my son's fear. Dr. Holcomb refused to extract my children's teeth without putting a bone graft in, which of course is not covered by insurance ($200/tooth!) The receptionist overcharged us for the consult, even though we had verified co-pay prior to the visit. This visit occurred in July 2009. When we went to our dentist for our 6 month check-up, Dr Holcomb's office refused to send my children's panoramic x-rays to our dentist without ME paying a "service fee" for each set. I DO NOT recommend this oral surgeon to anybody who expects to be treated with respect.

While having a root canal with another Dentist my 6 year molar was punctured. I was referred to Dr Holcomb by my regular Dentist. First I was met by his front office staff, who could not have been nicer. I was then met by Dr. Holcomb who let me know what he would need to do and I scheduled my surgery. The office lady explained the procedure and cost and set the appointed up. The day of my surgery the staff was very nice and caring I was taken into area where my surgery would be preformed and before I knew it; I was done!!. I was sent home with instructions regarding eating, drinking; and use of the pain and antibiotics medication I already had been given. I took one pain pill but never needed another. I would highly recommend Dr. Holcomb to anyone needing his services. His staff is awesome as well. Judy Hausler Pasadena ,Texas

I met DR. MARK HOLCOMB when he was still in dental school and i was in law school. the year was 1976. I had no money and i went to the dental school for dental work. My teeth were in bad shape and the dean of the school told me he was getting his top student to help me. THE BEST STUDENT was DR. HOLCOMB. Almost 30 years later DR HOLCOMB still helps me and my family and friends with our dental care. The dean of the dental school is a friend and of mine and he often tells me that Dr HOLCOMB is the finest oral surgeon in the state of texas and is highly regarded by other dentist and patients. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR HOLCOMB FOR YOUR DENTAL NEEDS.

Dr Holcomb extracted all four of my wisdom teeth just over 24 hours ago. I am totally pain-free. Never needed the Percodan he prescribed (or any other pain medicine). Was a little apprehensive at first because Dr Holcomb seemed to be all business, but the result was better than I could have ever imagined. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Holcomb removed two of my wisdom teeth on Monday, 11/22/04. I was quite nervous about the procedure. I was not comfortable with the idea of being under anethesia nor was I too optomistic about the recovery. I had been the recipient of many horror stories about complications associated with oral surgery that others had experienced with other oral surgeons. I was was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Mark Holcomb and his staff! I have a co-worker who is contemplating the same procedure with Dr. Holcomb and she has the same feelings that I had before the surgery and I have e-mailed her with my reports of a positive experience. I would recommend Dr. Mark Holcomb aand his staff to anyone who is need of oral surgery. His office is clean, well-lit and a comforting place for the nervous patient. The surgical area and post-op area are both as clean and sterile as any that I have seen. I have had ZERO complications as a result of my surgey and I am completely pain free and have no swelling and it has been three days since the procedure.
