It is my opinion that Dr. Shepard's work on my tooth extraction and care of the extraction site was much less than satisfactory . Also, a bridge adjacent to the site was loosened during the extraction, needing to be removed and reseated. I am currently having discomfort under the bridge and will need to be seen for improper fitting or even a possible infection. The extraction was to be followed with an implant to be done by a periodontist at that office. I suffered an unsuccessful implant attempt at the proper time on the calendar but sadly failed due, in my opinion, to Shepard's inadequate preparation of the site months prior, now delaying implantation by several more months. I also felt displeased at finding myself compelled to request of the dental assistant on one of my visits that she change to sterile gloves after she handled patient files on a table in my exam room just before stepping over to work in my mouth. Most dissatisfying of all was that Dr. Shepard was in but chose to not appear at a meeting which was set for her, the office manager, the periodontist , my husband and myself to discuss the problems I endured and continue to endure. We're now inconveniently forced to search for and switch to a new dentist.
