I went to Dr. Kowlaski as a new patient needing a cleaning and exam, during the exam he indicated that I had 5 cavaties and that I needed to have a treatment called scaling and root planing. Which is for people who have bad gingivitis. As a 20 year old female who has never had any major dental problems I found this to be extreme, so I went back to my dentist back home and he only found two cavities needing filling and didn't see gum problems justifying a scaling and root planing procedure. I also found him to be lacking the confidence necessary for me to feel at ease with his skills. I felt as though he was nervous just being there talking to me about the procedures. In addition to all of that I had gone in with a flyer indicating that once I paid the hundreds of dollars for the cleaning and exam I would receive a free tooth whitening which after all never happened, they said they were going to make a mold for the whitening, but that never happened and I never received the whitening after all.
