Two years ago Dr. Urich installed crowns on two of my molars and filled a cavity. Both crowns failed within one year. On one tooth the crown fell off due to extensive decay under the crown. That tooth had to be extracted. The other tooth also had decay under the crown requiring a root canal and new crown. The new work done on my teeth was done by a different dentist.
Also, Dr. Urich is a high pain kind of dentist. While working on each of the teeth I felt a lot of discomfort and sometimes pain. For example, when he was setting the crown on one of my lower jaw molars he used his thumb to push down on the crown while I had to clench my jaw muscles to prevent him from ripping my jaw off. My jaw was sore for a month after that visit (my last visit to his office). Every other dentist sets crowns by having the patient bite down on a chunk of cotton between their teeth. That visit made me seriously wonder if Dr. Urich ever attended dental school.
The dental assistant and front desk people were very friendly, but they were the only part of my visit to Dr. Urich's office that was enjoyable.
