I was new patient because I had recently moved to Houston at the time. I thought a top notch dentist office would provide ultra sonic cleaning.. but not I received the old fashioned teeth cleaning which just isn't as good as new procuedures available. When I asked the assistant about it she didn't have a good response. This was after she finished. The dentist didn't have much chair side personality or welcome me as a new patient. I just didn't click with her style which is fine but I didn't feel very good about the visit after I left. I did send a letter about my visit and received no response.

Dr. Barfield and her staff ladies were awesome! They explained everything very good. Doctor did a oral cancer screening and I've never had that done before. She goes above and beyond. The front desk lady was sweet and understanding to my financial situation. She explained my treatment plan to me and understood what my insurance would pay. I am very pleased with Dr. Barfield and would recommend her to my family. I already have my little boy scheduled.

Dr. B has a horrible bedside manner; rude & insensitive. I decided to try her after our long time dentist passed away because she was near our home. My 16 yr old son had the first appts with her. He didn't like her much, but I thought he might just need some time to adjust to a new doc. NOPE, I went in for new patient consultation & she treated me like a child & practically blamed me for my unlucky dental genetics. She snarled that I was gonna lose a lot of teeth. Well, that's why I go to a perio regularly. I went again to follow up on a crown & again, she was so callous I walked out while she was speaking to me. There are enough rude people in this world that I don't need to add one more to my life.

About Hygienist: She was nice & tried to explain to dr. that my dental hygiene was impeccable & any problems had to be genetic.

avoid this dentist!!!!! Extremely expensive, impolite and front desk lady very rude!!

About Front Desk: She is rude and unprofessional! All they care about is to charge you for unnecessary procedures! Finally stopped going there!

Do not go there!!! She is all about taking your money!! they will convince you that you need a million things done to your teeth. HORRIBLE dentist i would not recommend her to my family and friends!

I would not recommend this dentist. I and everyone else I referred to her had very bad experiences. We have all transferred to other dentists that we are extremely happy with.

Overall the dentist are ok but the front receptionist suck. Always busy to take a call and do not take care of customers!! Customer satisfaction should be their #1 but in this case we are not. Boo for you!

Dr. Barfield recently moved her practice to new , larger facilities in the Professional Building at the Katy Freeway and Gessner. She has the latest in diagnostic equipment and treatment records. It was a relief to be able to see the work completed and treatment requirements on large full color CRT's. her staff is the best including, Tracy - office manager and her dental hygienist. She has the best dental jokes in the business.
