I made an appointment several weeks ago for my 7 year old daughter. The last business day (Friday) before her appointment that Monday, Jessica, one of their staff members, called telling me that they verified my insurance and that my daughters appointment wouldn't be covered due to insurance frequency. Trying to explain to them that they had incorrect information from the insurance company was like getting attitude and arguing with an adolescent. They were completely rude! After telling them I just got off the phone with my insurance company and the insurance stated other than what they are telling me, they continued to be rude and still argued with me. I offered to put them on three way with the insurance, but it appeared that they had already dilled in with them and was on the phone. Turns out I was correct and my daughters appointment would in fact be covered. Thinking we were okay, took off work to have my daughter there, they called me the morning of stating they couldn't see my daughter because of the rude phone from THEM on Friday. Here I am, took off work, no appointment, wasted time, and still shaking my head on the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a Dr.'s office.

Though the office is nice and the staff is generally friendly, the business practices here are completely unethical. I took my children in for a cleaning and an exam. Dr. Bain recommended some additional work for both children. My daughter's appt. was 1st and all seemed to go well. The cleaning and initial exam had taken place almost 2 months prior to the followup work and in that time, I asked that the pricing be approved with my insurance. The office is in network with my insurance provider, who has since assured me that the company has agreed to their fee schedule and that no changes have been made to my plan. A week before the procedure I asked the dentist's office if the quote had been approved with the insurance company, they assured me that it had. After the procedure, but prior to paying, I again asked if the charges were final and was told that I would not receive any additional bill. Later, I received a bill for almost as much as I had already paid. I contacted the company and tried to work with them, but they were ultimately unhelpful. I understand small discrepancies with insurance companies, but I was told multiple times that the bill was final and the discrepancy was for much more than a small error.

We have 3 children, 10, 8, 3, and we have been very satisfied with Dr. Bain and his office. Everyone is very friendly and informative. One of my kids has severe anxiety at the dentist and he has worked with her so much. She has finally stopped kicking when we take her and his approach is very professional and consistant. I appreciate his approach to pediatric dentristry and the fact that he truly cares for his patients. He has never done unneccessary treatments and he talks to us about everything. We will continue to go to Dr. Bain for our childrens dental needs and we HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone.

The three visits y daughter had with Dr. Bain went from decent to horrible. When she had her first visit to have her teeth examined and cleaned Dr. Bain said nothing to her and very little to me. Her second visit was to have 2 crowns. I listened in amazement as he talked with his staff about office matters while jerking my daughters head around. When she complained he "gave up"and said he internalized children's pain and would have to sedate her. The third appointment for the sedation/crown process was worse. She was given Demerol... while under it's influence she was anxious and scared. Not from the drug... from Dr. Bain's callous and uncaring attitude. Now, bear in mind my daughter has had NO trouble with dentists in the past. Her first filing (when she was FOUR) was done without ANY pain management. No shot, no gas... Also- All three times we where there I heard kids crying screaming and complaining. I would NOT recommend Dr. Bain. He is supremely egotistical and a very self centered individual and it shows in how he treats people- more importantly CHILDREN. Avoid his practice.

Do not recommend for young children. The nurses were wonderful, but our experience with Dr. Bain was terrible. He lacked the tenderness that little children need when they are having procedures done that already make them uneasy...if you want your child to come away knowing the dentists are not bad, don't take them to Dr. Bain.

Dr. Bain and his staff are wonderful. I have a 4 year old daughter who is usually very afraid of the dentist...she loved Dr. Bain. He made my kids feel very at ease. It was a very relaxed environment. My kids can't wait to go back!!!
