Dr. Brooks was awesome, he was very charismatic and the office was great... I got special treatment from the first phone call to the time i got off the dental chair. the root canal I had was absolutely painless and his office manager even called me see how I was doing after the procedure. I never had that done before. great experience

This dentist worked on my 6 front teeth in order to get the veneers he ordered for me to fit. He took all the enamel off and left me with stumps that my next dentist had a hard time adhering any material to them. The veneers were overly large and my mouth looked weird with my lips trying to fit over these huge veneers he had delivered to my mouth. He tried to convince me they looked good and having big square teeth was a positive. My next dentist couldn't believe how bad they looked and thank God he was able to fix the job Dr. Brooks did on my mouth.

I had bad experience with Dr. Brooks. He was very nice and had gentle voice, but I got infections in my gums after having root canal done by him, and not only had to be treated with anitbiotics to control low fever, which lasted two weeks or so. The crown was too big and I had to went back there. He redid it a little but afterwards a big gap between the crown and the adjacent tooth appeared. Now wherever I go, I have to have my floss with me. He said he could redo it again if the crown was still too big, but I lost trust in him. During the two weeks of low fever, he didn't respond to my page calls promptly. Usually it took one day or two to get his call. He kept prescribing Pennicilin but it didn't work well. I went to see my primary care physician, whose prescription stopped the fever immediately. (After the fever, I was soon diagnosed a thyroid problem, which is possibly related to the fever caused by the dental work.) I think the patients need an efficient dentist but a mediocre one with the so-called "gental touch".

I have visited Dr. Brooks once for a routine cleaning. He and the staff were polite and friendly, but I was unhappy with the quality of work. I have never been anxious about my 6-month checkups, but this cleaning was painful and left my teeth and gums sore for the rest of the day. I generally look forward to these visits because of the wonderful clean feeling that I have, but this was not the case. The hygeinist seemed more concerned with telling me about extra procedures that the facility offered, rather than concentrating on the work she was doing. Dr. Brooks received a few personal calls on his cell phone while he was checking my teeth, and made a point to tell the hygeinist that he would like to take a detailed description of each tooth in case they ever had to provide forensic dental records. I found this quite unsettling. He also suggested multiple additional services for which I would need to return soon, and wasn't able to provide a good explanation of why I would need them done before my next routine appointment. Overall, the facility was very nice, but I will not be returning because of the quality of service.

Dr. Brooks was fabulous. He was gentle and did good work. The nurses were not all that kind or patient, neither was the front desk staff. I always felt rushed by them and never fully answered the questions I asked. I highly recommend Dr. Brooks but the office he was at was not customer friendly.

Great dentist. I trust him and the work that he does. Excellent chair-side manner, very patient and honest. Accepts multiple forms of insurance including Protective Dental discount plan through Sam's Club. The hygienists do a very thorough cleaning and he develops a detailed treatment plan. I needed fillings and he gave me tooth colored composites that look great. I am pleased with the work. The front desk help is friendly and if you call with a question regarding something in your file, they will look, instead of you having to wait for the dentist to call you back.

The insurance claim process with Dr. Brooks and this dental office was horrible. They over charged us and it's been 6 months since we've been able to get everything adjusted!

Just moved to Chicago. Randomly pick this Doc. Waited 1hr. Doc spend 2 minutes look at my teeth. Then an assistant give me a plan to deep cleaning my teeth (I have no periodontal problem) by a hygenist for $400+ after insurance coverage. I pointed out one of the three treatment is an optional one. The assistant told me "it is not an option in this dental office". Now I am running away from that office.

This complaint has more to do with the office as a whole. On my first visit, I thought I was getting a cleaning. Instead, when I met with Dr. Brooks, I got a consultation, was charged a copay, and told to book a 2nd appt for cleaning. The earliest cleaning date was two months away. I took it. Being that it was so far in advance, I completely forgot about the appt. (my fault), but I never got a reminder call from the office (which is what my other dentists used to do). When I realized I had forgotten the appt, I called and found out I had just missed it. I was told I had to reschedule. Earliest appt... two more months away. Displeased, I took it. Then a week before this new appt, I got a call from the office (apparently they call if they need to cancel, but don't call to remind you of your appt). I was told that they needed to move my appt. The earliest they could offer me was another month away. My first appt, which turned out to be only a consultation, was back in May. I have been waiting since then to get my teeth cleaned. The proposed new reschedule date would push my cleaning to the middle of November. With only one hygenist, I think their office is grossly understaffed incapable of handling their patient load.
