I have been going to see Dr. Robins for at least 5 yrs now. I chose Dr. Robins due to location and the fact that she has served on the Washington State Dental Quality Assurance Commission and the Committee for Peer Review and Ethics. This was very important to me! It meant she was respected by her peers and had a broad view of the treatment and ethical issues dentists are faced with. She has always been friendly, open, and I've never once witnessed her being anything but professional! I have seen her be the same way with a few clients that had unreasonable expectations. Dr. Robins has always made a point to personally discuss what she and the staff found in their exams, provided me with treatment options and asked me which option I wanted to go with. I never felt pressured to chose a specific option. Once treatment began it was almost as if I wasn't at the dentist! Comfort and ensuring you're pain free are important to her and the staff. I should add that I've been late a few times and I've never experienced any difference in what I've described above. I highly recommend Dr. Robins and Snoqualmie Ridge Family Dental!

I went for a consultation for a crown. Dr. Robins verbally promised to warranty her work for 1 year. It was a paid consultation. The doctor advised an implant for me, costing thousands of dollars.I asked for references from her prior implant patients. I made an appointment for tooth prep for the crown. At this appointment I was told that the lab charged a color match fee which she would take off as a courtesy to me. Two weeks later the permanent crown was cemented on. The receptionist, asked for the payment. The doctor said she had changed her mind and decided to charge me the lab fee. I was foolish enough to pay her. I even paid the extra charge trusting her. The next day I received an email saying that she had decided her dental practice was not the best place for me to go for dental care. She would be inactivating my records. I called the Department of Health and discovered she has 9 complaints against her.I called and asked her why I received such a letter from her. Her answer : 2 members of her staff complained and she noticed that I asked too many questions! Wish I had heeded to the negative reviews that are circulating about her. You can request complaint records from public disclosure pdrc@doh.wa.gov

Having crowns done, and the temporary caps stay on less than a day despite a severely modified diet.

There are two dentists in this practice and I've had experience with only Susan Robins. In my opinion, she's untrustworthy and will upsell you by using fear of pain, root canals, and whatever else. In my case, not only did she play the fear/pain/root canal card (a stretch at best), but she also told me that if I got a filling and it broke that my insurance would not pay for a repair. That may be true at some companies, but not at mine. So, she's making statements about insurance which may or may not be true to talk you into an expensive crown. I made a mistake and trusted her. My insurance and I got stuck for a $1,444 (over-priced) crown instead of a filling. The crown is still in my head so I can't criticize her handiwork (yet). It goes without saying that I advise you to avoid this mercenary dentist. There's a little more to the story and I put up a little web page with a few more details: http://sites.google.com/site/snoqualmiedentist/home.

I went to Dr. Robins' practice in July to get a cavity filled that had been identified previously. She proceeded to drill and drill and drill all the while I'm wearing a dental dam and cannot move. I wasn't told anything for the longest time and finally managed to mumble "what's going on?" By then, almost the whole inside of my tooth was gone, apparently due to more decay than expected (cracked filing). Not ideal, but it can happen. She told me I would need a crown which takes 2 more visits (cut the tooth & impressions followed by a visit for the final placement). When I showed up for the crown appointment, a different dentist popped in to do the work (Dr. Anderson). His name is not on their website nor was I told that I would see a different dentist. I don't know his full name to review him as well. So, I had the 2 appointments with Dr. Anderson, but the crown did not fit right. So he redid the impressions (not fun) and I had a third appt to put the crown on - this time with Dr. Robins. The crown did not fit again and I was told I would need to start over with a new reshaping of the tooth followed again by impressions. By now, my confidence was lost and I chose elsewhere. I did get a full refund of $, but not my time.
