After spending almost all day at the dentist getting 2 teeth pulled and being prepared for a permanent bridge to be put in I find out from the receptionist as I prepared to leave that Dr. Patton had chose with out consulting me to place a more expensive bridge costing me an additional $3000. My mouth at the time I was told this was beginning to hurt and all I wanted to do was go home. Needless to say from then on it has been nothing but a nightmare to get Dr. Patton to reimburse me. I did go in an discuss this with him and he admitted verbally what he had done and stated communication was dropped. He assured me that it was very simple to refund the $3000 to my credit. Simple or not it has not been done. I caution anyone who needs expensive work done to make sure you are not alone. I am very angry and upset that he has taken advantage of me and sees no wrong in disrespecting the loyalty shown him all these years. Please be aware -He is not a trustworthy dentist.

Dr Patton did my veneers 18 years ago when other dentists weren't using his technique. He is a leader in the cosmetic dental field. I was recommended to him by a Beverly Hills Cosmetic Surgeon. Dr. Patton moved from the Beverly Hills area to San Diego. I continue to see Dr. Patton when I am in San Diego. I am still camera ready with the original veneers from Dr. Patton.

Painless. My parents brought me to Dr. Patton as a teenager with numerous cavities. Dr. Patton was so patient with me and my restorations haven't needed additional work or crowns. As a young adult, I now pay for my appointments myself. So far only teeth cleanings and no additional work.

I have taken my children to Dr. Patton for 17 years. When the last one left for college Dr. Patton looked at me and said "now it's your turn". He was right and I had a complete smile makeover. I was surprised at how supportive my family was and how they share my excitement about being able to smile brightly again!!!

I dont even think I got to see a dentist! I have been back twice and have not had much done. Their schedule is awful. They don't really explain to you what they are doing. They pretty much have no idea what they're doing. They are rude. DON"T GO THERE!!

Grand Plaza Dental Group in San Marcos is a pleasent surprise. The facility is beautiful, and the two dentists are so friendly, caring, and gentle. Dr Branson (his assosiate) has a skill like no other dentist I've had. Her shots are painless. Not even the first poke hurts. I have heard about billing problems in the past from co- workers, but they seem to have it all down now. They go that extra mile for you and your billing questions or needs. They all very very honest and helpful.

Run, don't walk from the grand plaza in san marcos. Dental staff is horrible! Don't be fooled by the fancy facility. Front office staff has no idea what they are doing. Dental insurance, billing, & treatment are never correct. Grand plaza dental is overpriced for below average treatment. Chair side manner does not exist. You may wait at least 1 hr to be seen. Office staff is rude and has no business in dentistry. The way you are treated is based upon your insurance. Front office staff is never stable. They will bait you with "free whitening for life" & then hold your trays hostage until you agree to expensive upgrades. You are not given other treatment options other than a "lava" upgrade which is grossly overpriced. Poor quality of work. Dental veneers are horrible, returning at least 10x before they were completed. Some veneers turned into lava crowns since they were done incorrectly & fell off. Hate to smile now due to the chicklet appearance. Forget having anesthesia, they will perform procedures w/out it due to time constraints. You may see several doctors & staff due to high turn over, affecting the outcome of your treatment & quality of service.

GRAND PLAZA has the worst staff! The office staff was very rude & has no idea what they are doing. This office is very over priced & diagnosed unnecessary treatment for my entire family. I received several incorrect statments from my insurance, which was a mess because I was charged for procedures that were not even done. I could overhear staff members talking about one another using obscene language. Every time I come into this office they have new staff members, there is no consistancy or stability. The staff looks like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off. The office will treat you like a number and they will try to squeeze every penny out of you. I went into this office for "free whitening for life" and they told me that I could not get it until I paid for an upgraded "lava" crown. They refused to give me a "PFM" crown holding my money hostage. The office's chair-side manner is very poor and the staff appears to be very "ghetto". This office wants your money. Several times, I had to wait in the waiting room for over an hour before I was seen. My veneer case was a disaster & I hate my smile. My children were treated like "soldiers" & cried because they were man handled. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My Girlfriend recently went into his new office at Grand Plaza Dental in San Marcos and has had HORRIBLE customer service. Although Dr. Patton seems friendly, his staff is very rude and unorganized. She had 2 root canals done, with crowns to be done on the second visit. Well, at the second visit, they told her that she is only getting a cleaning, and not having her crowns put on. My girlfriend, already drugged up (because they told her to be the night before) can't sign anything, and they didn't ask her to come in beforehand to sign the paperwork. In addition, the temporary crowns the put in a couple weeks before fell out. In addition, they could never provide a "real" estimate on paper. They put it on a stickey note, saying that they couldn't figure out the computers yet. Then, of course, they tacked on an extra $400 during the treatment itself. I felt like I was being sold a car by his staff. Very unprofessional.
